Woburn was also the setting for the 1988 film “A Civil Action,” which was based on the novel by Jonathan Harr.  The novel tells the true story of a water contamination crisis, which was uncovered by Anne Anderson in the 1970's.  In the decades since the groundwater contamination crisis, Woburn has seen a rebirth as one of Greater Boston’s prime industrial and tourist attractions.
