If you're looking for lodging in the Lincoln area, consider Concord’s Colonial Inn in the neighboring town of Concord.  Less than five miles away, our Inn is an historic landmark noted for its gracious service, modern amenities and Colonial heritage.  The charming town of Concord is right at our doorstep.  In fact, when first settled in 1650, Lincoln was a part of Concord.  Not until 1754 was Lincoln incorporated as a separate town.

Paul Revere’s Capture

On the night of April 18, 1775, Paul Revere was captured in Lincoln before he reached Concord.  Paul Revere’s intent, upon leaving Boston, was to reach Lexington, where he could warn fellow patriots Samuel Adams and John Hancock that their lives were in danger.  Along the ride, Paul Revere stopped at each house to warn of the advance of British soldiers.  Upon his capture, Paul Revere was interrogated by British Soldiers before being released in nearby Lexington.
